Bio

Kristine has been a student of yoga since her college days. The focus, balance, strength and flexibility it requires immediately drew her in. But it wasn’t until her dad began treatment for his cancer at a holistic treatment center, and was introduced to yoga and meditation, that she realized the ability yoga had to heal-body, mind and spirit.

After an accomplished career as an educator, Kristine decided she was ready for a new challenge. Fueled by the desire to share the benefits of yoga with others, she took a bold step—purchasing the yoga studio where she had practiced, transitioning into the role of a business owner. This new venture proved to be both daunting and exhilarating, setting her on a path of lifelong study, delving into traditional yoga—the eightfold path. Kristine's studies led her to Hilaire Lockwood, the owner and founder of Hilltop Yoga Lansing and Chicago. Under Hilaire's guidance, Kristine received formal training, completing both 200 and 500-hour advanced yoga teacher certifications.

The studio flourished into a supportive, inclusive community under Kristine's leadership. She started teaching weekly classes and workshops. She began offering and eventually teaching the first Yoga Alliance Yoga Teacher Training program on the lakeshore. She became an international retreat leader running both domestic and international retreats in the US, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Portugal.

After the sale of the studio in 2022, Kristine remains committed to spreading the word about yoga. As Founder of In Flow she continues to offer yoga classes, retreats and yoga teacher training. The concept of being "in flow" represents full immersion, engagement, and presence—a state of peace and joy that Kristine strives for in her own life. She hopes to teach and guide others as they too live a life~ In Flow!
